Are we happy with the results after a year of learning with Academia Progresiva de Manila? The answer? A million percent YES!

By: Ert and Ena Tangon

Are we happy with the results after a year of learning with Academia Progresiva de Manila? The answer? A million percent YES! Our son Red is a transferee and it is also his first time learning in a virtual setup. So making friends and getting to know his classmates was a great challenge especially at his young age. We are also aware that this is also the first time for APDM to implement online classes. But we were impressed with how prepared and how much thought they put in making guidelines and helping students feel that they are included and accepted. They give each student an opportunity to speak, share their thoughts and shine. Of course, it wasn’t easy but Teacher Rox and Teacher Angel’s command and ability to sustain participation from kids is simply amazing! They’re very patient and charismatic. One of their strategies that we found very effective is how they make learning fun and exciting. They maximized every learning opportunity through games, interactive activities and positive reinforcement during recitation. They were able to make students enjoy learning and apply the lessons without them realizing it. It’s not just students who are learning. Parents, guardians and teachers are also learning from each other. APDM is actively seeking and responding to parents’ feedback in order to improve and promote conducive learning for everyone. But out of all the reasons we mentioned, the most impactful result that we are also very proud of is Red’s progress. One day, we just woke up with Red reading in both Filipino and English. His confidence in speaking improved a lot when he was given a chance to deliver a speech in one of their activities, Kinder Talks. We are thankful and very happy with our experience with APDM. If you are looking for a school that was able to smoothly adapt to the Pandemic and sustain quality education, we highly recommend APDM!

Kudos to all the teachers and staff for your dedication, passion and love for
your craft.

By: Malou Balucio

Good day everyone! I am Malou Balucio, mother of grade 6 student Florence Marie Balucio. Florence is a pioneer of APDM. She started as a pre-school student way back in 2014 and now she is graduating from elementary school. Looking back, there is no better way to remember those good times than to see it through the photographs that we took during those exact moment we experienced them. So here are some of those unforgettable moments. First is the United Nation Day Celebration where students paraded wearing the different costumes of the country they represent and perform awesome and fantastic dance numbers. Another favorite school activity is the Christmas Program. It is such a wonderful event because “the season to be Jolly” is in the air among the entire APDM community. There are a lot more memorable , fun-filled activities in Academia that I also want to mention such as Foundation Day, Lingo ng Wika, School Bingo Fair, Science Fair, the yearly field trips and many more. We enjoy them all. Thanks to you Academia Progresiva De Manila for those wonderful moments. We will cherish them for the rest of our lives. Before I end, I would like to congratulate APDM for the success of the 1st online learning especially during this thriving Pandemic times. Kudos to all the teachers and staff for your dedication, passion and love for your craft. And Cheers to all the graduates of Batch 2020-2021! Congratulations and God bless you all!

This is not just an institution for us but a community, a family that molds
children to be the hope of our next generation.

By: Apple Lim

I’m Apple, mom of Royce Lim from Grade 6 Agusan Del Norte Class, under Mr. Julius Cahindo. We’ve been with the school since 2012, when we enrolled our son back then for speech therapy. Royce literally grewup here. Teacher Nina and Teacher Archie witnessed the transformation of Royce. Feedback has been a regular thing to the Teachers, which parents like us really appreciated. We’ve been more involved with their progress and aware if something is happening after school. I want to end this by saying, we hope that you extend to K12 (high school) so we can go back here, please consider po Teacher Archie. This is not just an institution for us but a community, a family that molds children to be the hope of our next generation. Salamat po sa APDM for the wonderful years!

I am glad and thankful that the teachers in APDM took all the perfect opportunities to make our son’s learning journey become more meaningful and enjoyable.

Choosing a school for our son was like choosing a perfect gift for him. It’s either he will love and cherish it or just take it and neglect it afterwards. Same thing goes in choosing a school for him: it’s either he will love his new school or choose not to come back. As a mother, I always hoped and prayed that I have chosen a perfect school for our son. It was Duke’s first time going to a big school. I have to admit that our first few months has been really tough for us and for the teachers as well. Luckily, the teachers in APDM are also tough because they don’t give up easily. They have never given up on my son. I suddenly realize that there is no such thing as a perfect school, perfect parents and perfect children. it’s a matter of finding a perfect timing and opportunities to make those imperfections as learning blocks. I am glad and thankful that the teachers in APDM took all the perfect opportunities to make our son’s learning journey become more meaningful and enjoyable. I am very grateful to all the teachers who shared not only their knowledge but also their time and their hearts.

I feel comfortable and secured knowing they are studying in a school like APDM.

By: Girlie P. Jose

Every parent would always want the best quality of education for his or her children. My journey to look for a good quality educational institution that will be suitable for my children’s welfare should include a happy environment which will give motivation for my kids to learn and experience not only a normal school life for students but also to happily enjoy their childhood and growing up years with their peers. I feel comfortable and secured knowing they are studying in a school like APDM. I would like to thank everyone in the Academia team and all the staff. The way they uphold the APDM mission and vision towards a “practical education approach” which enables students to integrate learning in their daily activities but still keep lessons fun and interesting is truly remarkable and worth commending. APDM surely will produce quality students as they step forward with every level of their journey until they reach their fullest potential.
