Mainstream, Inclusion and Diversity Program

APDM coordinates with qualified professionals in including youth with learning difficulties in a regular classroom setting. Support is provided by modifying aspects of any of the following aspects of the curriculum: learning objectives, classroom environment, instructional materials, learning activities, modes of instruction and assessment procedures. Shadow and assistant teachers may be assigned to accompany the student in the classroom to provide assistance as needed.

In order to create a school eco-system that is more accepting of diversity and inclusion in terms of ability, race, appearance, religion, gender and economic status, APDM developed the award winning and research-based Diversity and Inclusion Modules for Pre-school to Late Elementary Students (DIMPLES) upon obtaining a grant from the Australia Awards and the Atlantic Institute for Health Equity in Southeast Asia and China.
