Right practice makes improvement. Kids in preschool most especially at preparatory level are in a critical stage of mastering the basic concepts of the 3 R’s: Reading, Writing and Arithmetic in preparation for the elementary level. The pupils enrolled in the preparatory level of Academia Progresiva De Manila have learned the basics as they move up to elementary. They have also learned to discover and unravel their talents which made them more self–confident. Busy days in preschool have come to an end and the students are about to enter a new chapter in their scholastic journey. As they move up to elementary, the preparatory teachers, Teacher Mae and Teacher Judith, wish the students to continue to learn and discover their potential and excel in all aspects of development.

The School Year 2014 – 2015 for Class Grade 2 - Lychee was fruitful. There’s been a marked improvement in the academics and behavior of pupils in the class. Learning was made enjoyable and experiential. Reading, Writing and Arithmetic were enriched. Topics in each subject were incorporated in every school activities. Students were taught different concepts in real life settings. Accepting everyone’s differences, Class Lychee was able to cope and rise above the daily challenges they faced throughout the year. As one team, the eight students breezed through the school year, building friendships and sharing memories together. May these kids continue to improve through all of the things they learned this school year.

Alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic are some of the words Teacher Feri and Teacher Mae would use to describe the students of Grade 1 – Cherry. Having the most number of students in class in APDM, there’s never a dull moment in Class Cherry. Every pupil is lively and participative in class. Kids who used to be shy have come out of their shells—they can now express themselves and mingle with their peers. The teachers and the pupils meet hand-in-hand in making the class a fun, memorable and a productive learning experience.

Kinder Orange class consists of very enthusiastic students that are always motivated to learn new things everyday and enjoy interactive class activities. The class still shows active participation most especially when videos and dancing are incorporated in class discussions. Even at their young age, students demonstrated development in reading, exceedingly for their age. Most of the students learn fast and have improved in cognitive, affective and social aspects. We are all looking forward to seeing the students further their love for learning. Teacher Judith anticipates seeing her students grow up as fine young individuals.

The Kinder Apple pupils are the babies of Academia Progresiva De Manila’s pioneering year. It is their first time to be in a formal school setting. Throughout the school year, these students have matured in their own ways. Everyone had overcome separation anxiety, familiarized themselves with numbers, letters, colors and shapes and enhanced their ability to socialize with the people around them. Although kids their age may generally be ego-centric, the Kinder Apple students were able to develop empathy and altruism with the help of addressing issues in a way they can understand. It is very rewarding to see our pupils learn not just academics, but most importantly, a Godly character at an early age.
