Feeling a little down? Need a little something to brighten up your day? Don’t lose hope, because Nursery Hope is always there to put a smile on your face! These little people may be small on the outside, but they have the biggest hearts that will definitely keep you up and going as they share their cute singing voices, excitable laughter, and inexplicable joy with anyone and everyone who comes their way. Together, Ysabella, Keziah, Javier, Alden, Megan, Ghavin, Sofia, and Chloe give the warmth of youth and the tenacity of what they could become. They are exploratory, curious, and have a natural sense of individuality that you just cannot find anywhere else. Seeing them grow into well-rounded children, with minds as open as the sea, and hearts as warm as the sun will make any teacher proud just being with them. So when things look most bleak, and when you think that darker days are coming, look up the word ‘hope’ and be reminded that these eight little boys and girls have proven that big things certainly come in small packages.
Nervous? Anxious? How did you feel on your first day of school? For these young learners, it was their first time to ever enter the corridors of a formal academic institution. Initially, they had their bouts of separation anxiety; they had that typical awkward phase, but the thing about these young kids is that they do not dwell on their low points. They are curious, fearless, and they rise above unfavorable circumstances. The best part about Nursery Love is that they have an insatiable appetite for new experiences. They never stop asking for more. The children from Nursery Love are easily loveable, with every little antic showing glimpses of who they are. One of the best things about teaching young kids is that one gets to see how much they’ve grown. You get to see positive changes in students like when they break out of their shells and students that have progressed beyond their initial performance. There is no greater joy in a teacher’s heart than the joy that one feels, when one sees the fruits of one’s labor.
The APDM Community had its annual educational field trip on November 18, 2016. The students had fun exploring the attractions at the Philippine Science Centrum. Everyone was treated with a glimpse to the wonderful world of science and its contribution to life! Afterwards, the children roamed the indoor play city, KidZania! Students got the chance to explore different occupations and showcase their talents in the different establishments around KidZania. Our Nursery students had their fill of adventure at the Active Fun play gym also in Bonifacio Global City. Interactive learning through role-play and hands-on experiences are some of the most effective strategies which help kids gain knowledge and engage in practicing what they’ve learned. As such, field trips are valuable learning experiences as learning doesn’t just occur inside the classroom; through this educational trip, students were exposed to the community and to new experiences. Definitely, everyone immensely enjoyed the trip to the Philippine Science Centrum, Active Fun and Kidzania!

Students wore a variety of costumes from the spookiest to the most enchanting ones. Not to be outdone, the APDM teachers and staff donned creative and whimsical costumes as well. Artistic photowalls were designed in different parts of the school for the students to pose and take pictures. Throughout the day, the students socialized with one another as they gathered and shared their treats. Truly, the Trick or Treat was filled with fun, and excitement!
