First Holy Communion is considered one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Roman Catholic person’s life. The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist entails the symbolic eating of consecrated bread and drinking of consecrated wine, and is the third of seven sacraments to be received.

This school year, Academia Progresiva de Manila shall be having its first batch of elementary school graduates. Thus, it is proper that Grade 6-Humility be given a proper farewell through APDM’s first Culmination Night.
For the Culmination Night, Ms. Russell Dela Cruz, a guidance counselor from Rizal Technological University, was invited to facilitate the students’ year-end recollection. After a series of activities, which helped them further develop their character and prepare them for junior high school, the students began their final activity, which essentially became the pinnacle of the event. This School Year 2018-2019, one of the APDM – PTA fundraising activities is to have the first-ever APDM Zumba Night. On January 25, 2019, the APDM Community participated in a fun and effective Zumba dance activity that provided a total workout, combining all elements of fitness such as cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. The parents and the students were enjoined to move along the non-stop dances, led by our very own teachers as Zumba instructors: T. Xides, T. Bie, T. Rox, T. Kamille, T. Gian and T. Mark. Featuring music from different genres and trending dance challenges, everyone gave their best in dancing. Towards the end of the Zumba Night, some students even went up the stage with our Zumba
The scouting movement in APDM continues to grow this school year. A lot of activities was planned throughout the school year. Forty-four students responded to the call of the scouting movement consisting of 37 boys and 7 girls. They started their sessions with the introduction of the founder of the World Organization of Scouting Movement. They also had the chance to wear their own neckerchiefs. The scouts also experienced cooking an egg using a stove made up of tin cans. They learned how to tie the basics knots, and even read the compass. Aside from all of these activities, the scouts also had the chance to test their scouting spirit by participating in different games that would require teamwork.
